What Happened to Counter-Culture?

The five-part series from Brook Lapping and produced by Simon Hollis, for BBC Radio 4, won a Broadcasting Press Guild in the Best Radio Programme category.

Presented by comedian and author Stewart Lee, and featuring the likes of Brian Eno, Damon Albarn, Shirley Collins, Johnny Marr and Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim), the series explores how counter-culture became a social movement so powerful it shaped institutions, businesses, politics and the attitudes and aspirations of whole generations – and asks where we are now.
