WHAM! 10 Days In China Receives Incredible Reviews ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WHAM! 10 Days In China has received a fantastic response from critics ahead of its worldwide cinema release on 28 July.

The new feature-length documentary, produced by Supercollider and directed by Mike Christie, has been awarded five stars by The Sun and four stars by The Times, Daily Express, Daily Mirror and Daily Star.

The Sun’s Dulcie Pearce described the film as a “brilliant documentary” and praised its fascinating account of WHAM!’s groundbreaking 1985 visit to China. Reflecting on footage of Chinese audiences experiencing their first major Western pop concert, the review said the reaction was “a thing of beauty”, adding that the film demonstrates “the true power of pop”.

In The Times, Kevin Maher called the documentary “quite brilliant” and said it contains “everything you could want in a rock doc”. He also praised the way director Mike Christie brings together the film’s remarkable archive material and described it as “easily the best” of the recent documentaries about WHAM! and George Michael.

The Daily Express, Daily Mirror and Daily Star also awarded the film four stars, describing it as “fascinating” and praising the way it “expertly pieces together” the extraordinary story.

WHAM! 10 Days In China revisits the ten extraordinary days in 1985 when George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley travelled to China and became the first Western pop group to perform in the country. Featuring meticulously restored archive footage and new perspectives on the historic trip, the film explores an ambitious cultural encounter that helped change both the band and the global reach of Western pop music.
