Three Zinc Media productions longlisted for the 2026 Grierson Awards

Three Zinc Media productions from Rex and Brook Lapping have been longlisted for the 2026 Grierson Awards, which celebrate the very best in documentary and factual television.

Rex has secured two places in the Most Entertaining Documentary category with BBC productions Miriam Margolyes Made Me Me and Rob and Rylan’s Passage to India – Rajastan.

Miriam Margolyes Made Me Me was directed by Simon Draper follows Miriam Margolyes and Simon’s unique friendship, captured over two years.

Rex’s second longlisted production, Rob and Rylan’s Passage to India – Rajastan, continues Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark’s travels as they explore the art, culture and history of India.

Brook Lapping’s Live Aid at 40: When Rock ’n’ Roll Took on the World – Episode 1, produced for the BBC, has been recognised in the Bleeding Fingers Best Arts and Music Documentary category.

The series revisits the extraordinary story of Live Aid and examines how music, celebrity and activism came together to create a defining cultural moment.

To have three programmes recognised across two categories is a fantastic achievement for Rex, Brook Lapping and the wider Zinc Media Group.
