Race Against The Tide Arrives On The BBC

A brand-new series from Zinc Media label Tern TV launches this week, as Race Against the Tide brings spectacular sand sculpting to BBC audiences.

Hosted by BAFTA-winning comedian Iain Stirling, the six-part series sees seven teams compete to transform tonnes of sand into extraordinary sculptures on the iconic West Sands beach in St Andrews. With limited time to complete their creations, the teams face one unavoidable deadline: the incoming tide.

Race Against the Tide premieres on BBC Scotland Monday 17th August 8.30pm, before airing on BBC Two on Tuesday 18 August at 7.30pm. All six episodes are also available on BBC iPlayer.

The production brought together expertise from across Zinc Media, with fellow Zinc company Bumblebee supporting Tern throughout the series. As well as providing kit and handling shoot logistics, Bumblebee delivered the full post-production and final delivery of the series.

It is a fantastic example of collaboration across the Group, bringing together Tern’s production expertise with Bumblebee’s technical and post-production capabilities to deliver an ambitious new series.
