Zinc Media Group wins BIG in New York!

We’re delighted to share that last night at the New York Festivals’ TV & Film Awards - Zinc Media Group was awarded Production Company of the Year.  The New York Festivals is one of the most prominent competitions in our industry, where we face stiff competition from some of the biggest names on the circuit. It’s always a great honour to walk away with any accolades, but this year’s results are particularly special.

In addition to winning Production Company of the Year, Zinc companies picked up a string of other awards including the Grand Award, 2 Gold Awards, and 5 Silver awards, with Tern TV, The Edge, and Zinc Communicate sharing the awards for work produced for Sky, the BBC and Network Rail.  These awards embrace all aspects of Television and Film with entrants from over 50 countries.  The biggest and best production companies enter, and this year included BBC Studios, Endemol, Avalon, All3Media, Banijay and Windfall among many others, making us so honoured to have been awarded this overall prize, when competing against such revered peers.

Zinc has pedigree at these international awards winning the Grand and Gold awards in TV & Radio with Brook Lapping for Maggie – the first ladyThe Fall of MilosevicCountdown to war all from Brook Lapping and The British Black Panthers,  The Secret History of Bossa Nova, and The New York 77 Blackout from our radio businesses, but this is the first time Zinc has been awarded the prestigious Production Company of the Year.
