Zinc Communicate announces ‘’Skies of Tomorrow’ - an exciting new documentary series, highlighting how the aviation industry is working together to build a more sustainable future.

Zinc Communicate, a division of Zinc Media Group announces ‘Skies of Tomorrow’ – a revealing documentary series, showcasing how the aviation sector is working together, on an international scale, to forge a path to net zero.

To be produced in partnership with the Air Transport Action Group (ATAG) and aimed at global travellers in the lead up to COP27 in November 2022.

The aviation sector generates 2% of global carbon emissions but has a strong track-record of improving efficiency and cutting emissions. Aviation was also one of the first industries to come together internationally, to face the challenges of climate change with a commitment to net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Filmed around the world, ‘Skies of Tomorrow’ will take viewers on a cinematic journey, exploring what is driving change in this innovative and fast-moving aviation industry. A series of short-form documentaries, featuring insightful stories from the world’s aviation sector, highlighting how the industry is focused on sustainable practices, modernisation, and growth.

Viewers will hear from leaders and influencers in the industry, showing innovations in aircraft manufacture, alternative fuels, and shining a light on those airports which are already on their way to becoming carbon neutral.

The series will highlight how modern technology is taking the industry by storm; celebrating what ATAG members are doing to create sustainable solutions to air travel; as well as enlightening consumers on how to travel more sustainably.

Haldane Dodd, Executive Director, Air Transport Action Group (ATAG), said: “air transport is an important connector of communities, businesses and people. We are also committed to making sure that connectivity can continue for decades ahead, but without the associated carbon emissions. Climate action takes many forms, but in aviation it will be the result of a transition away from fossil fuels and the introduction of new technology that builds the most important route to decarbonisation.”

This series comes at an opportune time as ATAG maps out its path to net zero.

“The aviation sector has made huge strides in becoming more sustainable but does not always get the recognition it deserves. We will be using this series to celebrate the story of aviation and share successes from around the world,” says Adam Harrod, Director of Business Programming at Zinc Media Group. “The travel industry brings people together, and we want to help the public understand how to be a more conscious traveller can make more informed, greener choices’

The content will be launched in the autumn of this year, to engage and influence travellers, the travel industry, and policy makers. The series will help these audiences understand how important the aviation sector is to meeting climate change targets and will help travellers understand how to travel in a more sustainable way.

We are currently seeking sponsors with interesting stories to be featured in the documentary, as well as additional media and distribution partners. To find out how you can be involved, please contact Adam Harrod, Director of Business Programming - Adam.Harrod@ZincMedia.com
