Atomic TV Welcomes Sumaya Abdi to Grierson DocLab 2024!

Exciting News from Atomic Television and The Grierson Trust.

We’re thrilled to announce our participation in the renowned Grierson DocLab programme! At Zinc, we’re committed to fostering new talent, and we couldn’t be prouder to support this initiative.
Meet Sumaya Abdi, one of the 12 talented trainees selected for the Grierson DocLab core programme for 2024. Sumaya joined the team at Atomic Television in Bristol earlier this year, with a background in PR and a penchant for Production Management, Sumaya has shown exceptional skills in handling production tasks with methodical precision. She’s a master at organising information in a way that’s easily accessible for team use – a vital skill in our industry.
The Grierson DocLab, a training branch of The Grierson Trust, has been shaping the future of factual TV and documentary filmmaking since 2012, and this year, they’ve expanded their horizon with specialist training initiatives in partnership with Netflix.
